Where are you located?
Village Baking Co is not a retail bakery. I currently service the Gorham, Maine area. However, you can regularly purchase a variety of treats at Gorham House of Pizza.
How do I place an order?

How far in advance do I place my order?
Please allow at least 1-2 weeks for orders. However, when ordering the sooner the better. Ordering is not guaranteed if the calendar is already booked in peak season. Peak season is May-October.
Do you ship?
I do not ship cakes and only certain items are shippable as of now. Please reach out and ask about items you would like to ship, you can find my contact information here.
Do you deliver? If so how far do you deliver?
Yes, I offer delivery service as long as my schedule allows me. I will deliver to surrounding towns of Gorham, Maine. However, if you are in need of a delivery further please reach out and I can price accordingly.
What do you offer?
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes, I do sell my product at wholesale price. Please reach out via email at email@example.com.
How long do your products last?
Cakes and desserts will keep fresh for up to 4 days. If you purchase my baked goods at a local business and they are prepackaged, they are sealed shut and will keep fresh up to a week.
Do you offer allergen free products?
As of right now I only cary a few items that are gluten free. However, I am working on getting a variety of gluten free options together by the end of 2020. If you have an allergy to nuts please let me know and I will take the proper precautions in my kitchen. My kitchen does contain nuts and I recommend those with severe allergies use their own judgment when eating Village Baking Co products.
Do you offer tastings?
Yes! Village Baking Co provides tastings with a fun spin. Please find more information on wedding tastings here.
How far in advance do we book you for our wedding?
I book popular wedding dates very quickly so the sooner you would like to secure your date with me the better! Commonly I book 6-9 months out, however I have clients that book up to 18 months in advance. Please don't hesitate to reach out to see if I have availability for your date!
Will you deliver and setup my cake?
Yes, I highly recommend that you have your wedding cake and desserts delivered. This will ensure that your cake will make it to your venue in one piece, no headaches necessary on your special day! I charge for delivery according to your venue location. Setup is free of charge when you pay for a delivery charge.
What is your booking process?
If there is availability for your wedding, we can schedule a tasting and consultation. Once I have your flavors, details and design I am then able to send you an estimate. Upon approval a contract will be made and a 50% deposit will save your date. All final details, updated guest counts, and final payments will be made approximately 2 weeks prior to your event.
Will you stay at our wedding and cut our cake?
I do not cut your cake, your caterer/event planner will cut and plate your cake. An experienced caterer has cut many cakes and they will know how to cut your wedding cake.
How do we save the top tier to our wedding cake?
During our consultation I will ask you if you'd like to save your top tier. If yes, I provide a special box for you to preserve your cake. I will give the box to your caterer/event planer (don't worry I never forget this!) as well as let them know you would like to save the top tier. Inside the lid of your cake preserving box will include the instructions on how to freeze it and how to enjoy it a year later. Designate someone trustworthy who won't drop or eat! the cake to grab it at the end of the night. Try to get your cake into the freezer right away. If it has not been preserved properly, do so before freezing.
Will you provide a stand for my cake or platters for my desserts?
I can provide these items for your wedding. However, it does come at a fee. Please reach out during our consultation and I can provide you with images of different items and I can give you a quote based on the items you have chosen. I will bring these while setup takes place, you are responsible for bringing the items back within 2 days after your event. If you fail to do so the card on file will be charged for these items.
